Programme Management

Harewelle’s success and reputation is based on its strong programme management skills.

We recognise that reform programmes are complex and each individual programme requires a different strategy and approach to ensure it achieves its targets. Our philosophy for success is based on the belief that a key resource in an organisation is its people. To succeed, an organisation needs committed, motivate management and staff with well-developed technical and administrative skills. Harewelle is fully committed to building capacity within organisations thus enabling a strengthened and motivated management and workforce to continually develop the organisation with professional support coming from within the organisation itself.

We have a participatory approach to programme management which places the consulting company in a more facilitative role, managing the dynamic interaction between clients, technical consultants and donors. This model has proven to be particularly effective at instilling ownership of programme activities and direction within the client institution, while at the same time ensuring the rigour and transparency of process and accountability required by both the client and donor.

Harewelle is able to draw upon a network of carefully selected, experienced specialists who have a proven track record of working in their fields of expertise. This is backed up by an in-house capacity, both regionally and in the UK, which has many years of experience working in the field of overseas development aid and which is able to guarantee technical backstopping and quality assurance of the highest level to ensure complete client satisfaction.

Given the nature of this service, Harewelle is able to provide support and management services across a range of technical sectors and has evolved in line with client and donor priorities. Our experience crosses the boundaries of both the public and private sector and includes a range of technical expertise:
