DFID support for African participants to attend an International Conference in Brazil

The Second International Conference on Climate, Sustainability and Sustainable Development in Semi-Arid Regions (ICID+18) was held from the 16th to the 20th August 2010.  Dew Point, DFID’s Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation managed by Harewelle International Limited, was contracted to manage the process of identifying, selecting, briefing and supporting a number of participants from across the African continent to attend this prestigious event. Despite some serious logistical issues involved in getting a large number of participants from across Africa safely and in timely fashion to and from the venue, DEW Point ensured the attendance of twenty five key participants at the event.
